Business class comes with generous baggage allowances, but packing smart still matters. Here’s how to make the most of it.

Baggage Allowance

Most long-haul business class tickets include two checked bags (often 70 lb/32 kg each) and two carry-ons. Check your airline’s rules, as they vary by carrier and route.

Keep Essentials in Your Carry-On

Medications, a change of clothes, toiletries, and anything you need for the first 24 hours should stay with you. Lounges and onboard amenities reduce the need for a huge personal item, but having basics on hand is still wise.

Dress for Comfort and Arrival

You’ll have room to stretch out, but layers are useful for cabin temperature. If you’re heading straight to a meeting, wear or pack something presentable so you can step off the plane ready to go.
